You hit the nail on the head with your core message, namely that prejudice is primarily a positive tool to differentiate for the purpose of individual and communal survival, growth and development. The tempo is on the number too and correlates well with the changing images used. The reinterpretation of the concepts of prejudice (prejudgement), authority and tradition as expounded by the German philosopher, Hans-Georg Gadamer, refer to the same, though along different lines of context and argument.
